PGE Federal Credit Union 2017 Scholarship
The purpose of the PGE Federal Credit Union Scholarship program is to recognize students from the credit union membership for their academic, extracurricular and community achievements.
PGE Credit Union will award (5) $500 scholarships to deserving students for the upcoming academic year.
Any graduating high school senior entering an accredited junior college, college, university or technical school. Any student returning to an accredited junior college, college, university or technical school. Students must be a PGE Credit Union member or the immediate family member of a member in “good standing” who belongs to PGE Credit Union as of March 31, 2017. Students who are entering or are at a service academy, an accredited junior college, college, university or technical school who are not charged tuition are not eligible. Relatives of the Board of Directors, Committee Members or the Staff are not eligible for this scholarship. Students that are in a post graduate program are also not eligible for this scholarship. Students may apply annually however, the maximum number of awards is 4 per individual.
Scholarships will be made available at the discretion of the Board of Directors annually. All scholarship awards will be funded by PGE Federal Credit Union at the discretion of the Board of Directors.
Obligations and Responsibilities of Scholarship Winners:
Scholarship recipients are not required to attain or maintain honor grades. They are, however, expected to remain in good academic standing at all times, take normal course loads, and fulfill all school requirements. They must also choose a field of study that will result in an associate (junior college) or baccalaureate degree (college/university) or Certificate (technical school). Scholarship recipients should be prepared to provide their academic records to the Selection Committee and evidence of attendance to their selected institution if requested. To receive a scholarship award, recipients must be present at the Credit Union on June 6, 2017 at 8:30am. Students must consent to the use of their name and photo in PGE Credit Union marketing material.
